SUMMARY OF WORK

1. Held two EPC church planting assessments.

2. Transitioned to a new regional director in the northeast.

3. Launched four new Latino EPC church plants.

4. Held two regional church planning retreats (East & West) instead of one national retreat.

WORK OF THE COMMITTEE

Our national team continues to support local church planting by helping provide and work with regional directors, assisting in the costs of annual retreats, providing assessment for potential church planters, helping fund coaching for new planters, and recruiting new church planters to the EPC pipeline. Our work at the national level provides local churches and presbyteries with the needed tools and resources to be vigorously active in church planting.

In keeping with the pastoral assessment, the Ad-Interim Committee on Ordination Standards is recommending that the EPC National Church Planting team explore presbyteries making church planting assessment a requirement for all church planting evangelists. Assessment can be obtained from the EPC assessment team or an equivalent assessment organization endorsed by the EPC National Church Planting Team.

There were 44 church plants in 2026.
